The Pakistan Cricket Board owns the National Stadium, a cricket venue in Karachi, Pakistan, also known as the National Bank Cricket Arena due to sponsorship reasons.
The Karachi Kings and several more domestic cricket teams from Karachi call it their home ground. With a seating capacity of 34,228 seats, it is Pakistan’s largest cricket venue.
Civil engineers Mr. Abdul Rasheed Khan & Mr. Kafiluddin it was constructed in the early 1950s.

National Stadium History
Construction
In 1955, Pakistan’s capital at the time was Karachi, there was only one cricket field there, and it had a small capacity for spectators.
A 174.5-acre area of ground was purchased by the Pakistan Public Works Department via the Commissioner of Karachi as part of the project to construct a new stadium.
Then after, it was officially opened in April 1955 under the direction of the civil engineers Mr. Kafiluddin Ahmed from East and Mr. Abdul Rasheed Khan from West Pakistan. The venue, Pakistan’s 11th first-class venue & Karachi’s 5th, was erected.
Stadium Rename
In 2022 October PCB was given a new name National venue after signing a contract with the National Bank of Pakistan. Now Karachi venue’s new name is National Bank Cricket Arena. This deal is for just 5 years.

The National ground Karachi can contain 34,228 people at once. Plastic chairs have recently been added to the field as a result of renovation work to replace the existing benches.
NSK Boundary Length
The boundary distance from the central pitch of the ground is from 60-80 meters. The national arena is a circular shape ground. Its boundary length will be different in different formats.
