Before another batsman broke KL Rahul’s mark, it took the Indian Premier League four hard years. Pat Cummins, an Australian all-rounder who plays for Kolkata Knight Riders, is the most recent player who makes the fastest 50 in IPL History.

List of Fastest 50 in IPL History

Pat Cummins

In the 14th over, Cummins entered the batting order as KKR was trying to reach their 162-run target at 101-5 overs. Cummins was expected to exhibit signs of jitters as this was his debut game in the IPL 2022, while Venkatesh Iyer stood fit at one end. The Australian scored four boundaries and six sixes to help KKR win the game by the 16th over.

KL Rahul

KL Rahul has been playing well in the IPL over the past few seasons, establishing himself as one of the top ball strikers in the league. Rahul scored a half-century against Delhi Capitals in just 14 balls in April 2018 while playing for Punjab Kings. It is still the fastest half-century in IPL history.

Yusuf Pathan

Yusuf Pathan, a powerful ball batter, stole the show during Rajasthan Royals’ victory in the inaugural IPL season. The aggressive right-hander, who then held the record for the fastest fifty in IPL history with a half-century in just 15 balls, destroyed the SRH bowlers.

Sunil Narine

Narine smashed the RCB to all corners with a half-century off 15 balls, making even the pursuit look easy. On the list of the 50 fastest IPL players, this is 4th. He eventually scored 54 off 17 balls, with 6 fours and 4 sixes in his innings.
