In 2019, ICC had initially revealed that Church Street stadium would host six ODI matches of the United States Tri-Nation Series 2019.
But later, organizers took a different plan in July 2019, revealing that a new ground in Morgan Hill, and the Leo Magnus Cricket Complex, would be hosting the event. Although the stadium missed that chance, its reputation as a cricketing destination remained intact.

Renovations
Later, in February 2022, this venue was again in the limelight. Here, Major League Cricket disclosed plans for a total renovation project of this park in collaboration with Morrisville.
The park tries to enhance its facilities and spectator experience through a public-private partnership. The proposed renovations included expanding the seating capacity, parking, and broadcast space. It also included making LED-lit practice areas for players.
These renovations were made with a $110 million investment. The budgets were allocated to upgrade eight cricket facilities through renovation or completely new construction. The main goal was to prepare for the highly expected launch of the local T20 league in 2023.
Additionally, its enhanced venue aimed to position itself as a potential host for matches of the T20 World Cup 2024, bringing the excitement of cricket to the USA.
