Spain FIFA World Cup 2022 Squad

Luis Enrique has officially chosen his 26-man World Cup squad, and as a result of his careful selection procedure, Spain will have access to a pool of outstanding quality. It will be their 12th World Cup, and their most recent triumph was in 2010.

They were controversial since Julen Lopetegui, the manager of the Spain team who was scheduled to take them there, had already agreed on a pre-contract with Real Madrid. They were defeated by the host Russia on kicks during the FIFA World Cup 2018.

They were not awarded an easy group; they will have to defeat the 2014 world champions Germany and the great Asian partnership Japan and Bryan Ruiz’s Costa Rica.

Luis Enrique has a solid talent pool from which to choose his World Cup selection and a track record of success with the Spanish national team.

Spain will play a warm-up match against Jordan on November 17 to narrow the field before their World Cup opener on November 23 against Costa Rica.

Who Is Spain’s Head Coach?

Spain’s Stability And Drawbacks

One of Spain’s greatest assets is the young players who are joining the new team. While others, like Pedri and Ansu Fati, have already made it into the starting lineup, others, like Gavi, are in line to make the first team.

Spain has a potent midfield with such young midfield talent. Their problem is that they don’t appear to have the same star power as other teams in other positions, which may prevent them from being competitive coming into this World Cup.
