First Century in Asia Cup

Moin-ul-Atiq is the first player from Pakistan who made 1st century in the Asia Cup against Bangladesh in 1988. In the match, Ijaz Ahmed scored 124 runs without being out.

From 1990 to 1995, Sachin Tendulkar and Navjot Singh made lone centuries in this edition. In the 2008 Asia Cup, most centuries were made by players. From 1984 to 1986, there was no century made by any player.

Highest Centuries

Sanath Jayasuriya holds the highest number of centuries in the Asia Cup. Kumar Sangakkara gets the 2nd position in scoring the most centuries. Another record of Kumar’s is that he made three centuries in a tournament in 2008.

Kholi and Shoaib Malik made 3 3 centuries in the Asia Cup. In 2010, Shahid Afridi made two centuries in a tournament as a captain that never other captains made. In 2012, Kohli made 183 scores against Pakistan, which is the highest individual score by a player.
