The American Express, formerly known as The Desert Classic and sponsored by American Express, is a PGA Tour event held in Palm Springs, California, during the winter. It’s part of the early-season “West Coast Swing.” Previously, it was also known as the CareerBuilder Challenge and Palm Springs Golf Classic.

The American Express Prize Money 2024 has been announced. The American Express 2024 will take place from January 15th to 21st at PGA WEST Private Clubhouse. The event field featured top golfers like Patrick Cantlay, Tom Kim, Scottie Scheffler, and more.

The American Express Prize Money 2024

The American Express prize money for 2024 has been increased from $8 million to $8.4 million. This year $400,000 has been increasing compared to last year’s tournament, showing the growing prominence of the tournament.

This year the total $8.4 million payout will be distributed among the 65 golfers. The competition winner will get a $1.51 million prize share from the total payout.

The tournament finalist will take a $915k prize fund. The 3rd place golfer in the event will receive a $579k payout. The golfer who got 4th place in the standings will fill their pockets with a $411k reward. The golfer who stands at the last will earn a nice payout of $18k.
