Career
Domestic Cricket
At the age of 15, he started participating in different tournaments. He was famous for his big hits. He was known as a natural talent in 2017-18 when he represented Rawalpindi in the National T20 Cup. He played a massive role in taking his time to the finals but failed to help his team lift the trophy.
After promising performances, he was selected for the Northern squad for Quaid e Azam Trophy 2019-20. He scored 652 runs in his eight matches, averaging 46.57, including two centuries.
In November 2019, he was named to the squad for the emerging Asia Cup 2019 held in Bangladesh, where he made his List A debut against Afghanistan. This tournament is focused on giving chances to under 23 players to showcase their talent on the more extensive panorama.
U-19 World Cup
In the U-19 World Cup 2020 edition, he was adjourned as the Vice Captain of the Pakistan U-19 team. In that tournament, Pakistan reached the semi-finals but failed to exceed further.
PSL
In December 2019, he was drafted by PSL franchise Peshawar Zalmi for the 2020 HBL PSL. In May 2020, he became the youngest player to score a fifty in the history of HBL PSL.
In this PSL edition, he impressed everyone with his long hits and checky batting. In the 2021 CPL, he was signed for Jamaica Tallawahs, but his performance could have been better there.
T20I
He made his T20I debut against England in 2020 at Emirates Old Trafford. He scored fifty in his debut match, the fastest fifty by a Pakistani on debut in T20I. Until now, he has played 21 T20I matches for Pakistan, in which he has scored 406 runs at an average of 23.88 and a strike rate of 128.48.
ODI
He made his ODI debut against Zimbabwe in 2021 at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. He has played just 2 ODI matches, scoring 42 runs at an average of 21 and a strike rate of 127.
