World Cup 2022 Tournament Format
The World Cup 2022 will have a 32-teams, which are divided into eight groups; only the best two teams from each of the eight groups will proceed.
Only 16 squads from the eight groups will go to the single knockout phases. The winner moves to the next stage while the loser is out of the contest. There must be a winner for every knockout-round match; if overtime or free kicks are required to pick the winner, they will be used.

The FIFA 2022 World Cup opening match, which coincides with the host country on Monday, November 21, 2022, has been rescheduled to 17:00 CET / 19:00 Doha Time as part of the final game after the Last Draw.
