Pakistan Super League Points Table Criteria

The PSL Points Table will use the same points-based system as any other T20 competition recognized by the ICC.

  • Win: 2 Points
  • Loss: 0 Point
  • Tied: 1 Point

During the group stage, teams will be ranked according to the following criteria:

  • The team with the most victories on the standings will be in the top spot following the group stage.
  • In a game, if both clubs are tied on the points, the team with the higher net run rate will prevail.
  • The team with the most victories in the group stage will be rated higher than the rest of the field if the points and net run rate are equal.
  • Everything else is equal. They will be ranked in the League based on how they fared in head-to-head matches.

The teams that finished second and third in the PSL standings will compete in the qualifying round. In contrast, the first round of the elimination round will feature a matchup between the teams that placed first and fourth.

The qualifier winner will decide the final. The loser of the qualifying round is first eliminated. The loser of the qualifier will then go up against the victor of the first elimination game in the second elimination round.

In the final, the victors of the qualifying stage will go up against the victor of the second elimination. In the event of a tie, the victory will be decided by a super-over. In a super overdraw, the team with the highest group stage ranking will be crowned the winner.
