This is a franchise Twenty20 cricket league started by the PCB in 2015. The 8th edition of the Pakistan Super League will take place in 2023. PCB President Ramiz Raja revealed ideas to replace the selection with an auction for the PSL 2023.

The PCB is planned to boost the player salary caps and put a mixed auction/draft approach in place in which teams would be given four postpaid and four rounds of bidding, with the last 12 players being chosen in a selection.

The competition dates were doubtful because Pakistan plans to host the 2023 South Asian Tournaments around the same time as PSL.

PSL History

Pakistan Super League is known as PSL or HBL PSL. A T20 cricket tournament in Pakistan called the Pakistan Super League was established in 2016 with five teams: Islamabad United, Karachi Kings, Lahore Qalanders, Peshawar Zalmi, and Quetta Gladiators. In 2018, a sixth club, the Multan Sultans, made its PSL debut.

PSL 8 2023 Schedule

PSL 8 2023 is scheduled from February 9 until March 19, 2023. A total of 34 games will be contested between the six clubs in the Pakistan Super League 2023, according to the PCB’s announced schedule. The PSL 8 2023 championship will be held at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.

PSL 2023 Venues

In the last version of this competition, in 2022, matches were only conducted in Lahore and Karachi. The Pakistan Cricket Board has announced plans to hold matches in Multan, Peshawar, and Quetta during the 2023 season. However, the Arbab Niaz Stadium in Peshawar has been suspended from hosting tournament games.

PSL 8 2023 Points Table

In February of 2023, the 8th season of the Pakistan Super League began. A double round-robin format and a playoff schedule will be used for the matches.

All six teams will fight to win the PSL 8 2023 title, which will be played for a month. To qualify for the PSL playoffs and gain significant points, PSL teams will compete for the top 4 spots on the PSL Points Table 2023.
