In November 1991, Jason Holder was born in Barbados. Since he was a young child, Holder has represented the West Indies on the international cricket stage. He enjoyed playing football and cricket with his friends, and as time passed, Holder began competing in local tournaments and cricket clubs.

In a match against Australia, Holder made his ODI debut on February 1st, 2013 in Perth. West Indies performance in that game was dismal as they were bowled out for 70 runs. Aaron Finch’s dismissal by Holder gave him his first international wicket.

In January 2014, he played his first T20I match against the West Indies and finished with two wickets.

He played well in the shorter format before making his Test debut against New Zealand in June 2014. In a losing effort, he took two wickets and scored fifty runs.

Club Career

Chennai Super Kings purchased Holder at the 2013 IPL auction. Sunrisers Hyderabad acquired him for $125,000 a year earlier. In his IPL career thus far, he has taken 5 wickets while hitting 38 runs.
