There are a few known names on the 26-man list of the Cameroon FIFA World Cup 2022 Squad, which has been released for the competition.
After being rejected from the previous World Cup in Russia, Cameroon will play in their 8th World Cup later this year.
They defeated Algeria in the qualifier round, with Karl Toko Ekambi as their team’s hero after scoring in the closing minutes of extra time to secure their place in Qatar.
Their best performance in the competition came in 1990 when they reached the quarterfinals and captured the hearts of fans worldwide with their lively play.
Samuel Eto’o, the president at the time of Cameroon’s FA, stated, “For the majority of the time, we were not adequately prepared. But that will not happen this time.
This time, they will have difficulty outdoing that performance because they were placed in a group with the heavyweight’s Brazil, Serbia, and Switzerland. But given the wealth of expertise in their squad, they intend to surprise everyone come November.

Cameroon Team Coach
Rigobert Song experienced a brain bleed in 2016 and fell into a two-day coma. The close call with death altered his perspective. Although he was appointed to the position by the country’s president, Paul Biya, because of his laid-back attitude, detractors claim that the 46-year-old ex-defender, who holds the record for most caps for Cameroon, does inspire his men.
Cameroon Players to Watch
At this year’s AFCON, Lyon’s Karl Toko Ekambi received five goals, including the lone strike that helped Cameroon defeat the Ivory Coast and top their World Cup qualifier group before the Elephants, in addition to the game-winning goal versus Algeria in the play-off. The 30-year-name old’s appears first on the roster, even before the name of the captain, Vincent Aboubakar.
