Wells Fargo Championship is a professional golf competition that plays from 4 May to 7 May 2023 at Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte. The tournament was first time held in 2003. Wells Fargo has sponsored the competition since 2008. 

The previous season was won by Max Homa after deafening Keegan Bradley. The Wells Fargo Championship field will be headed by the best world players like Max Homa, Rory McIlroy, and  Xander Schauffele.

The prize money of the Wells Fargo Championship has big increased compared to the previous year.  Last year, the $9 million total purse was split among the golfers. But, according to reports, this year’s $20 million payout has been fixed for the tournament.

As the tournament purse increased, so the players will earn more cash. Last year the contest winner received a $1.62 million prize share from the total purse. But, this season the champion of the event will get a big amount of $3.6 million prize share. 

The runner-up of the Wells Fargo Championship will receive a $2.18 million reward from the purse. The semi-finalist of the contest will get a $1.38 million prize share in their pockets. The 4th place golfer in the standing will earn $980k cash.
