Career
On February 21, 2017, Kaitano made his 1st start for the Mid-West Rhinos in the Logan Cup for the 2016–17 season. On May 23, 2018, he made his Class A start with the Mid-West Rhinos in the Pro50 League for the 2017–18 season. He was picked to represent the Rhinos in the 2020–21 Logan Cup in December of that same year.
On April 13, 2021, he played his debut T20 match for Rhinos in the Zimbabwe National T20 Tournament for the 2020–21 season. He was chosen as a reserve player for Zimbabwe’s Test series against Pakistan in the same month.
Kaitano was selected for the Test squad of Zimbabwe in July 2021 for their matches against Bangladesh. On July 7, 2021, he played in his first Test series for Zimbabwe against Bangladesh. He made 87 runs in the first innings, one of the most ever by a Zimbabwean opener in a Test match.
Kaitano was included in the Zimbabwe ODI team for their match against Sri Lanka in January 2022. He played his first ODI for Zimbabwe against Sri Lanka on January 16, 2022.
