Career

In July 2018, He took 12 wickets in 5 matches & become the most wicket-taker in the Ghazi Amanullah Khan Regional One-Day competition for his Amo Sharks team. While showing their best skills in the tournament he becomes the player of the year. He was included on Paktia’s roster for the first Afghanistan Premier League competition in September 2018.

He played their first ODI match against zimbabwe in July 2014 for the Afghanistan team. On July 9, 2015, he played his first International t20 match against the Netherlands in the 2015 ICC World T20 Qualifier competition.

Ashraf was a member of Afghanistan’s Test team for their one-off encounter against Ireland in India in February 2019, But, he did not participate in the game.

Ashraf was selected as one of Afghanistan’s ODI squad’s four reserve players in July 2021 for their series against Pakistan. In Sep 2021, he was named to the Afghanistan team to prepare him for the ICC T20 World cup.
