Early Life

Abdul Rauf, the father of the talented pacer Haris, claimed that they moved from Mansehra to the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad 35 years ago in quest of employment. Abdul Rauf, his father, toiled arduously to provide for his family. He has 27 years of experience welding.

They had been residing in a two-room house that PWD had provided. In the T20 World Cup, Pakistan defeated New Zealand. Harris Rauf rented his home, and he paid the rent with the money he made as a cab driver to meet the mortgage. Career

Domestic Career

Haris began playing local cricket in Islamabad with the International Islamic University cricket team when his coach compelled him to participate in the Lahore Qalandars attempt in September 2017. That attempt was conducted at Gujranwala. Aaqib Javed noticed Haris’s initial reluctance to join and offered him a spot on Australia’s national cricket team. He was then selected for the Lahore Qalandars in the 2018 Abu Dhabi T20 Trophy, which intensified his domestic race debut.

Haris is one of the six Pakistani athletes that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has chosen to prepare for the 2019–20 National T20 Cup series, which begins in October 2019. However, he made his List A debut for Baluchistan in the 2019 Pakistan Cup and his first-class debut for Northern in the 2019–20 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy before being chosen by the PCB.

International Career

In a T20 series in January 2020, Haris made his debut for Pakistan against Bangladesh while playing for his country’s cricket squad. Since 2018, he has been among Lahore Qalandar’s top players. He competes in the 2020 Pakistan Super League with the Lahore Qalandars.

  • After Enrich Nortje, who had the second-fastest delivery in the T20 World Cup 2021, (South Africa)

Controversy

He performed a throat-slitting gesture each time he took a wicket in a Big Bash League (BBL) match while representing the Melbourne Stars squad against the Sydney Thunders. A large number of internet users objected to this. BBL’s official Twitter account uploaded a video, criticizing it as nasty and impolite.

Facts

In 2017, he revealed, My father didn’t like cricket. He said without recommendation, you weren’t going to make a career. Then I got picked for Lahore Qalandars, where talent rather than recommendation has been the only yardstick.”

Salman Butt, a former Pakistani batter, describes Harris Rauf’s experience in international cricket by saying, “Yeh ek aise emerging star hai joh GT Road se nahi aaye hain (he’s one emerging star whose entry to the Pakistan team hasn’t been linear).”

After getting his wicket, Haris confessed to Shahid Afridi in one of the 2020 PSL games. His coach and former fast bowler for Pakistan, Aaqib Javed, responded as follows:

“He is going through a learning curve. He is grooming well and respecting his seniors. It’s imperative to grow not only as a cricketer but also as a human being. I feel good when I see his development.”
