Scholtz debuted in the 2008 Under-19 Cricket World Cup in Malaysia as a player of the Namibia under-19 national squad. During the actual competition, he made five matches and grabbed six wickets.

In his 2nd innings, Scholtz scored a second-ball duck against North West in Oct 2008 to make his first-class debut. In South Africa for the Cricket World Cup Qualifier 2009, he was the youngest player for Namibia Team.

In 2014-15, he had 8 for 116 and 5 for 66 against Boland. At their annual awards event in Nov 2016, Cricket Namibia awarded him Player of the Year. He was chosen to play for Namibia in the ICC World Cricket League Division 2 competition in Jan 2018.

With 35 wickets in 9 matches, he led Namibia in Sunfoil 3-Day Cup wicket-taking in 2017-18. He was added to Namibia’s team for the Africa T20 Cup 2018 in August of that year.

Scholtz was selected for Namibia’s team in the Southern subregion group in Oct 2018 for the 2018-19 T20 World Africa Qualifier competition in Botswana.

He was part of Namibia’s roster for the World Cricket League Division Two event in Mar 2019. Namibia earned ODI status by placing among the top four teams in the competition. On 27 April 2019, Scholtz made his One Day International debut for Namibia against Oman in the championship match.

In 2019, he was named on Namibia’s lineup for the Regional Finals of the T20 World Cup Africa Qualifier match in Uganda. In 2019, he played in his first Twenty20 International match for Namibia against Ghana.

He was one of the 25 cricketers nominated to Cricket Namibia’s Elite Men’s Squad in June 2019 in preparation for the international edition 2019-20.
