Scholtz debuted in the 2008 Under-19 Cricket World Cup in Malaysia as a player of the Namibia under-19 national squad. During the actual competition, he made five matches and grabbed six wickets.
In his 2nd innings, Scholtz scored a second-ball duck against North West in Oct 2008 to make his first-class debut. In South Africa for the Cricket World Cup Qualifier 2009, he was the youngest player for Namibia Team.
In 2014-15, he had 8 for 116 and 5 for 66 against Boland. At their annual awards event in Nov 2016, Cricket Namibia awarded him Player of the Year. He was chosen to play for Namibia in the ICC World Cricket League Division 2 competition in Jan 2018.
With 35 wickets in 9 matches, he led Namibia in Sunfoil 3-Day Cup wicket-taking in 2017-18. He was added to Namibia’s team for the Africa T20 Cup 2018 in August of that year.
