Chris Gayle holds the record for the fastest century in World Cup history. He earned this award in the 2016 World Cup. He scored 100 runs only on 48 balls against Bangladesh. He had 11 six-five and five fours to complete his century with a fantastic strike rate 208.33. Before this, he had already made the fastest century in the 2007 World Cup.
Charis Gayle
Chris Gayle is the first player from West Indies who made a century in T20 World Cup history. The 2007 match at Wanderers Stadium was played between South Africa and West Indies. He scored 117 runs only on 57 balls, but his century was not helpful for his team & he lost the match.
