Hong Kong Qualify In Group A Of Asia Cup With Pak and India

On 24 August, Hong Kong beat UAE in the last match of the Asia Cup qualifier. In this match, Hong Kong requires a win to make their place in Group A because Kuwait already wins 2 games, and they have the advantage of the Net Run Rate.

Hong Kong easily completes their chase and wins the match by 8 wickets against UAE or confirming the position with Pakistan and India.

Match Summary

Hong Kong’s attacking bowling helped to stop UAE on just 147. When their opener comes for batting, their aggressive style gives 85 runs for 1st wicket partnership. Hong Kong will chase it down in the 19th over.

Hong Kong’s 1st match was against India on 31 August in Dubai and 2nd with Pakistan on 2 September in Sharjah Cricket Stadium.

It was Hong Kong’s fourth appearance in the Asia Cup and 1st time in the T20 format.
